Saturday, July 21, 2018: 10:00 am (Vaughan): A panel of experts, technologists, and lawyers will give an update on several I-star organizations, namely ICANN, IETF, IEEE, and ITU. Short presentations will touch on the major controversies in each space as they relate to human rights, namely freedom of expression and the right to privacy. Questions to the panel from the moderator will draw out the tensions and synergies of human rights considerations in Internet governance and standards setting across the I-star bodies.
